22" X 30" Signed LR "Svend Svendsen"."Svendsen was born in Christiania, Norway on March 19, 1864. He moved to Chicago around 1893 to study at the Art Institute of Chicago. He exhibited in Chicago two years after the Columbian Expo, 1895, and won a prize. He also exhibited in the Nashville Expo, 1897. He is known for his landscapes, especially evening snow scenes."
